Testimonials

The Fernery is recommended by the Delaware-Otsego Audubon Society (DOAS) as a primary source for native plants in our region in Central NY.  We work closely with DOAS in providing guidance and expertise for creating bird-friendly, pollinator gardens.

Connie’s expertise is a tremendously valuable local resource.  As a former board member and past recipient of the NY Flora Association’s Native Plant Conservation Award, she provides guidance you can trust for all your native plant needs.

Western Massachusetts

Who would travel over 3 hours (1-way) just to find a special fern? Amy did! Traveling from western Massachusetts, she found Phegopteris connectilis (narrow beech fern) available at the Fernery. She also picked up other native plants while visiting, including a nice 2 gallon pot of shrubby cinquefoil (Hypericum prolificum) which she is holding in this pic. Amy is active in promoting pollinator pathways in western Massachusetts.

Connie really knows her stuff – and she can get plants in plugs or/and start them in pots, if you want. We spent 2 hours there just sifting through her great ideas. Very helpful.
